I love this song. It really saddens me that it never made it onto the album proper, because it fucking slays-it was one of the funnest songs to play and it was everything we did distilled into three minutes. This was one of Ben's tracks, and I think it got nixed from the record because he was being too self-critical again-worried about his singing (don't know why, because he was and is better than me) or his songwriting (it's no secret this track owes a huge debt to Bardo Pond's "Tommy Gun Angel")-without realizing that he'd whipped out a total sludge rock assault. When we first started practicing and arranging "Corazon," it had an extended clean outro section full of echoes and delays that we could never really get to go anywhere, so we dropped it. I think the result is super visceral, and one of the band's strongest tracks.
